The village of Namche has remained a historic trading point for Nepalese and Tibetan traders who exchange salt, dried meat and other consumable and textile items. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Namche.

Day 04– Rest day in Namche for acclimatization
The fourth day of the trek will be spent in Namche itself for acclimatization purpose. As the altitude will now increase significantly, a day for acclimatization is paramount and strictly advisable for prospective trekkers. One can spend the day in Lukla visiting the local Bazaar of Namche or visiting the nearby Sherpa villages. If you are not much tired and are ready for a few hours of trek, then you can go to Everest Hotel for great panoramic views of Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse and others. Located at an altitude of 3900m, Everest Hotel is the hotel that is situated at the highest altitude in the world. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

The trail is easy in the begging as we cross valleys along the rhododendron, juniper and large coniferous forests. We also see Sherpas bringing their herds of Yaks for grazing on the green pastures. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 06–Trek to Machhermo (4470m) 5 hrs
The trail now becomes gradually difficult as the trekkers will have to negotiate thick forests, the increasing altitude and the lack of settlement areas. The trails continue to climb up along the side of the valley until it reaches Machhermo. It is also believed that the region of Machhermo is the home of Yeti, mythical snow man. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 08–Gokyo to Dragnak (4700m) 3 hrs

Day 09–Trek to Cho-La Pass and to Dzongla (4830) 7 hrs
The most crucial day of the trek is on the ninth day as it is a long trek and we have to reach the Pass by 9-10 AM in the morning else the weather conditions will deteriorate and greatly hinder our journey. The trek starts early in the morning at 5 AM. The trail can also be difficult due to snow and slippery way. Strong winds and the high altitude could also pose problems for the trekkers. Kala Patthar is also the Everest Base Camp and it is located at an altitude of 5364 meters. And it is also the point from where the Everest expedition starts.
